Future Developments
We see ICT as essential to our strategic plan to become a global business. The most significant of these technologies is the Internet, which provides both a medium of communication and a means of receiving sales orders trans-nationally.
We will therefore be extending our use of email and our Web site to provide fast, cost-effective delivery of information to customers all over the world; and developing our WebStore to generate sales across national and geographic boundaries. In these areas particularly, we anticipate a continued investment in ICT, and investment we see as essential to our growth.
We believe that in our "high-tech" sector in particular, the market will become far more global within the next few years. Users will be looking for the supplier who provides the best (and fastest) service, the best price and the best support, irrespective of territorial boundaries.
We therefore need to use ICT to ensure that our World Wide Web site, and our WebStore, are recognised all over the world as the places to visit first for technical computing products and services.
