Information for Users of the Symbolic Math Toolbox™ and Extended Math Toolbox™ from
The MathWorks®.
For many years, The MathWorks
has resold the Maple engine under the product names Symbolic Math Toolbox
and Extended Symbolic Math Toolbox. These products were designed for
high performance symbolic computations. Effective September 28th, 2008,
the Maple engine will now be sold exclusively by Maplesoft.
Many users rely on the Maple
engine for their critical day-to-day computational work. Therefore Maplesoft
is making a special offer available to all users of these products.
For a limited time, the Maple Toolbox for MATLAB® is being
offered free of charge. This is the ideal option for MATLAB® users
who rely on symbolic computation. Note that users will also
require Maple 12. Maple 12 can be purchased from the Adept
Scientific webstore or by contacting your local Adept
Scientific office. If you are at an academic institution, it's possible
you will have access to Maple through an existing site-wide licence.
