DataShuttle

DataShuttle

Whether in the lab, field, or plant, DataShuttle provides the most accurate measurements for low level signals of any portable PC data acquisition offering on the market today.

That's because it incorporates an innovative voltage-to-frequency converter (VTF) that provides exceptional noise rejection. This unique feature enables you to obtain the same degree of measurement accuracy when reading thermocouples in an electric furnace as you can on the lab bench.

DYNAMIC RESOLUTION

Resolution improves as the signal decreases. Enjoy resolution that is 10 times better than conventional 12-and 16-bit boards at 1/10 of full scale.

LOW NOISE

Low-noise integrating converter with noise as low as 0.5 µV. Can sample at 60 or 50 Hz to eliminate power line frequency noise.

INSTALLS IN SECONDS

A single parallel cable connects the DataShuttle to a PC's parallel port. Just plug it in and it's ready to collect data!

INTEGRATED TERMINATION PANEL

The DataShuttle is a self-contained unit, with sensor termination built in. Choose from general purpose, thermocouple, RTD, or analogue isolation models. Each unit accepts a wide range of input types, with room for isolated digital modules.

COMPACT, LIGHTWEIGHT, PORTABLE

A single DataShuttle is smaller than a notebook computer and weighs less than 2 lbs. (1kg).

EXPANDABLE

Up to 15 DataShuttles can be linked together on one parallel port, providing up to 120 analogue input channels.

6 GAIN RANGES

±25 mV up to 10 V, software selected.

OPTIONAL ANALOGUE OUTPUTS

All models are available with two optional analogue outputs.

SOFTWARE SELECTABLE CONFIGURATION

Select different range, resolution, and sampling speed for each channel. Configure digital I/O lines, and more.

VERSATILE TIMING FEATURES

Use counter/timer to count pulses, measure frequency, generate pulses, or time intervals.

RUGGED

Analogue inputs are protected up to 50 V continuous, 150 V momentary. User selectable. Samples at maximum rate and averages multiple samples to pass a single sample at the chosen sample rate. Works with single or multiple channels. Noise is less than 5 µV at 1 kHz.

AUTORANGE

Set the unit to automatically select smallest range for an incoming signal. Gives higher resolution for small voltages.

MIXED INPUT TYPES

Select a different sampling rate, range, or resolution for each channel via software.

THERMOCOUPLE COMPENSATION

Precise thermocouple cold junction compensation and linearization included in the driver for 11 thermocouple types.

RTD CORRECTION

Precise linearization in driver for platinum RTDs.

MULTIPLE SOFTWARE OPTIONS

QuickLog for Windows; DASYLab; Driver interface for LabVIEW;; Development Tools for C, C ++, and Visual Basic.

CE MARK CERTIFIED

Advanced surface mount technology and high electronic standards meet CE Mark requirements for emissions and robustness.

RESOLUTION

0.0015 to 0.00009%, Dynamic (equivalent to 16 to 20-bit resolution)

SPEED

Up to 900 Hz
