Data Display
The data display menu provides a display of all the data structures that are
currently available within GenStat and provides an alternative way to display
the data than the docked data view. The data
are displayed in this dialog if the Use docked data view option on
the General tab of the Options is not
selected. If this option is selected then the data are displayed in the docked data view.
The menu contains a tree list of all the
different types of data folders that are available in GenStat. Each data
folder contains data structures and/or data folders. When a folder is selected
the data structures and data/or folders contained within that folder are
displayed in the adjacent list. You can drag and drop data structures from the
data display menu onto spreadsheets and menus.
There is a shortcut menu available for the display and can be activated by right-clicking
on any data structure name. The items available on this menu are listed below:
Options
Displays additional options which you can use on the data structures such as
deleting, renaming and displaying. The options can also be accessed by
clicking the right-mouse on a single data structure or selection of data
structures.
Delete
Deletes the currently selected data structure(s).
Rename
Allows you to rename the currently selected data structure(s).
Duplicate
Allows you to duplicate the currently selected data structure(s).
Display
Displays the values of the currently selected data structure(s) in the Output
Window. You are prompted with a menu which allows you to specify the layout
for the values that are printed in the Output Window.
Create Pointer
Allows you to create a pointer to the currently selected data structures.
Sort
Prompts you with a menu to control how the data structures are to be sorted.
