Simulink execution speed
Through shear model size or inefficient use of component blocks, Simulink
models can become very slow and time-consuming to execute. Also, if the
model is to be used for a real-time application then it needs to be executed
well within the cycle time of the simulator (typically 1ms or faster).
If this is not possible, the engineer is faced with the challenge of
reducing the fidelity of the model in order to achieve the update rates
required.
