Fixed-Point Algorithm Software
VisSim/Fixed Point lets you
easily simulate the behaviour of fixed-point algorithms prior to code
generation and implementation of the algorithm on fixed-point hardware.
You can simulate fixed-point algorithms — such as, controllers or
filters — together with floating point components — such as,
motor or amplifier models — to validate their behaviour in a “virtual”
system prototype. When used in conjunction with VisSim/Embedded
Controls Developer, VisSim/ECD Personal Edition
or VisSim/C-Code, VisSim/Fixed Point produces
highly efficient, fixed-point production code to a Texas Instruments C2000
DSP or any fixed-point target supporting a C compiler. VisSim/Fixed Point
includes a comprehensive tutorial on fixed-point controller design, along
with an example of converting a floating-point controller implementation
to a fixed-point implementation.
