VisSim/Motion
Modelling and Simulation
of Motion Control Systems
VisSim/Motion™
is a block set that enables engineers to easily model and simulate motion
control systems by using a pre-built motion component library. Simply
select and connect your components, right click each and fill in dialogue
box entries with your parameters.
Then, with the push of a button, run
a simulation and view the behaviour of your system.

Position Control Using Brushless DC Motor
VisSim/Motion includes:
- Motors: AC induction, Permanent Magnet Brushless, Brush DC, stepper
- Controllers: AC induction Field Oriented Control, PWM single phase,
dual phase and space vector, PID, six step commutator, stepper
- Sensors: frequency demodulator, Hall, encoder, LVDT, rotary servo
potentiometer, rotary tachometer
- Transforms: Clarke, Park, inverse Clarke, inverse Park
- Loads: Rotational, translational
- Voltage sources: 3-phase sinusoidal, 3-phase square wave (inverter
source)
- A comprehensive set of tutorials describing how to use VisSim/Motion
for the modelling and simulation of AC induction and DC brushless motion
control systems
"For any engineer involved
in the design of motor driven systems, VisSim/Motion provides an easy
way to plan the design; both in the selection and sizing of components
and overall system architecture. VisSim/Motion is a valuable tool for
verifying that performance requirements will be met in advance of repeated
prototype trials, thus saving considerable time and expense."
