Article: The only data acquisition difference is the price

Measurement Computing has really created some interest with its new series of data acquisition boards which are functionally equivalent to designs in the NI E Series. Everything about these boards is top quality, but as they say on them: "the only difference is the price".

Even more designs are being introduced this summer, including the PCI-DAS6070, which corresponds to the NI PCI-MIO-16E-1 with its 16 channels of 12-bit A/D resolution, 1.25 MS/s maximum sample rate, 2 channels of 12-bit D/A with 1 MHz update rates, 8 bits DIO and two 16-bit counters.

As with all the PCI-DAS6000 series, the board comes with a full User's Manual, individual calibration certificate, free technical support, a lifetime warranty against defects in material or workmanship, and a lifetime “Harsh Environment Warranty” against accidental damage. Design quality, as well as look and feel, is first class.

A choice of software is on offer for professional developers and non-programming users alike. There's support for LabVIEW, Matlab, Agilent VEE and the SoftWire graphical programming system for Windows Visual Studio.NET and Visual Basic 6. MCC's Universal Library software option enables interfacing to control systems written in almost any language or programming environment.
